Some beautiful things find us when we least expect them. And sometimes, all they need is someone who can see what they could become. 🤎

The Serendipity Dress began with a little moment I'll never forget. I was visiting a secondhand shop when a bag filled with beautiful old fabric suddenly fell right in front of me. I wasn't looking for it, but something inside me knew I couldn't leave it behind.

I kept imagining all the possibilities. Then one day, I looked at a little denim dress I already owned, and everything started to make sense.

For 18 days, I poured my time, creativity and heart into bringing these forgotten pieces together. Every piece of lace, every crochet detail and every little stitch became part of something new.

And perhaps that's what I love most about upcycling. It's not just about saving fabric. It's about seeing beauty where others might see something ordinary, and believing that something deserves another chance.

I didn't create this dress to follow a trend. I created it because I believe our clothes can tell stories about who we are.

Maybe one day, someone will wear it and feel a little more like herself. A little more free to be different.

And that would make every hour I spent creating it worth it. 🤎

• Original one-of-a-kind design, reimagined and handmade by Pao Thrift NZ.

• Materials: Upcycled denim dress, repurposed vintage curtain fabric, crochet and lace.

• Size: Best suited to approximately NZ 8–12, depending on measurements and preferred fit.

• Fit: Elasticated back with the original functional zip.

• Design: Romantic, asymmetrical silhouette with layered vintage fabrics, crochet and lace.

• Style: Bohemian, cottagecore and vintage-inspired.

• Condition: Handmade using repurposed materials, with some irregular stitching and small imperfections. Please check all photos carefully.

• Care: Gentle hand wash and dry in the shade.
